In 2007, Lisa began to pursue her dream to start a Dress for Success affiliate in the Phoenix area, and in September 2008, Dress for Success Phoenix was granted its affiliation. In 2009 a key partnership was established with Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC), and they graciously donated a 500 square-foot space to the organization to open their first boutique. Lisa wanted to create an upscale boutique in Phoenix to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. In December 2009 Dress for Success Phoenix suited its first client and began impacting the community. They soon recognized the need for a larger space to better accommodate their clients and provide a full scale of services, so in June 2011, again with the generosity of CPLC, Dress for Success Phoenix moved into a 3200 square-foot boutique. Since its inception, Dress for Success Phoenix has served more than 4,000 women in the Valley. In 2015 Dress for Success Phoenix will launch its Mobile Career Center that will help reach hundreds of valley women in outlying areas.
